A study in what happens when four colours are given equal say. Pink and yellow are warm, green and blue are cool, and they trade off across the surface in a balance that shouldn't work quite this well. The white speckled stoneware shows between the glaze, letting each colour breathe. Each platter is its own experiment; the proportions shift from piece to piece.
Handmade means one-of-a-kind. Each platter is made in small batches from white speckled cone 6 midfire clay, shaped by hand and finished with care. The sculptural, organic form means every platter sits slightly differently - no two edges are exactly the same. Expect small differences in shape and glaze; these aren't flaws, they're the fingerprint of the process and what makes your platter uniquely yours.
