The kind of green that belongs in a garden, on a shelf, at the centre of a table - it doesn't wait to be noticed. On the dark clay body, the green glaze has real presence, reading as dense and saturated where it pools and catching the light on the raised spikes. Each vessel builds up colour slightly differently as the glaze is applied by hand; some run deeper, others show more of the dark clay through the spikes, giving each piece its own texture.
Handmade from rich black cone 6 midfire stoneware and finished with hand-applied clay spikes that create an expressive, tactile surface. The contrast between the smooth curves of the body and the sharp protrusions is the thing - the dark clay deepens the glaze and casts shadows across every detail. Designed to hold flowers or plants, or stand alone as a decorative object.
