Need info on large ceramic planters?
20cm tall and 22cm wide. They're the biggest planters I make - the same form as the small planters, scaled up. If you're after something smaller, the Small Planters are 14cm, and the Planters with Saucers are 13cm with a matching saucer.
Not as standard. At this size, most plants do best kept in their plastic nursery pot and sat inside the planter - lift it out to water, and repotting later is no drama. If you want to plant directly into the ceramic, get in touch before ordering and I'll make yours with a drainage hole.
Yes! They work for indoor and outdoor plants. The porcelain is fired to cone 6, which makes it dense and hard-wearing. Even outdoors, they'll hold up perfectly.
Yes. Each one is made at my studio in Bellambi, on the NSW South Coast - formed, trimmed, brush-glazed in layers by hand, and fired twice. The glaze application is where each planter becomes its own thing. No two come out exactly alike.
Anything that's outgrown a standard pot. Monsteras, fiddle leaf figs, rubber plants, big ferns - a 22cm opening takes a decent-sized nursery pot. A smaller plant sitting high in it works too, if that's the look you're after.
The glazes are abstract and colourful, built up in brushed layers, and colourways rotate as new batches come out of the kiln. What's on the page is what's in the studio right now. If you're chasing a particular palette, email hello@rhiannongillceramics.com and I'll tell you what's coming up.
Free tracked shipping kicks in on orders over $190, anywhere in Australia. Under that, shipping is $15 flat rate. Each planter is packed safely with biodegradable fill. For international orders, get in touch and I'll sort out a quote.
