A plant pot with a saucer solves the problem every indoor plant has: you want drainage holes for the plant, but you don't want water on the windowsill. These come as a matched set - the planter is 13cm tall and 13cm wide with drainage holes, and the 16cm saucer sits underneath and catches the runoff. Water freely, walk away.
Many of these are brush glazed like the rest of my planters. Some, however, instead of brushing the glaze on in layers, each one is dip glazed - a single glaze does all the work. It runs thicker in some places and thinner in others, and toward the base it breaks into uneven drips over the bare, speckled clay. After firing, I grind the base of each drip flat so the planter sits flush on its saucer. The drips land in their own pattern every time, so no two sets are exactly alike.
Fired twice in a cone 6 kiln, which makes the porcelain dense enough for outdoor use as well as indoor. Colourways rotate as new batches come out of the kiln.
