These small planters are 14cm tall and 14cm wide - the size that suits most indoor plants. Devil's ivy, peace lilies, hoyas, herbs on a kitchen windowsill. It's the original form in the range, and the one the large planters are scaled from.
Some come with a drainage hole, so you can plant straight into the ceramic, and some are glazed inside and watertight, so they sit on a shelf without a saucer. Each listing says which.
The planters are formed to a consistent shape at the studio, trimmed at leather-hard, then glazed by hand and fired twice in a cone 6 kiln. That second firing makes the stoneware hard-wearing, which is what lets these work outdoors as well as in. The glazes are abstract and colourful, and because every planter is glazed individually, no two are exactly alike. Colourways rotate as new batches come out of the kiln.
