Each bowl is around 24cm wide and 8cm high, with a wide, open form that shows off the glaze from every angle. It's generous enough for a shared salad, a pile of fruit or a tray of roast veg, and striking enough to leave out on the bench between meals.
The clay changes the colour. On rich black cone 6 stoneware, the glaze deepens from the inside out: pinks turn richer, greens go deeper, and browns pick up a warmth you don't get on a white body. On a lighter clay, the same glazes read brighter and softer. Each listing says which clay that bowl is made from.
Only a few are made at a time, so the range here changes as new pieces come out of the kiln. If you're after something flatter for oysters, cheese or a grazing spread, the oyster serving platters are slip cast in porcelain and sit lower. These bowls are the deeper take on the same idea.
