The Oyster lamp takes its form from the sculptural, rippled layers of an oyster shell - organic and quietly luminous. This piece is glazed in Colour Theory, hand-applied in purple, green, orange and yellow on a cone 6 midfire stoneware base. The colours are built up in multiple layers, giving the finish a depth that shifts with the light. No two are exactly alike.
Sold as seconds. This lamp has fine cracks in the ceramic base, visible in the photos. They are an aesthetic issue only and do not affect the wiring, which is unaffected and wired to Australian standards by a licensed electrician.
Handmade in Bellambi, Wollongong, NSW. Wipe clean with a damp cloth.
