The Oyster lamp takes its form from the sculptural, rippled layers of an oyster shell - organic and quietly luminous. This piece is glazed in Marshmallow, hand-applied in pink, cream, peach, and brown on a cone 6 white midfire stoneware base. Each glaze is applied by brush in layers, giving the finished surface a depth that shifts depending on the light. No two are exactly alike.
